video - business emotional intelligence

This week's video is some slightly bleary and jetlagged thoughts on the idea of 'business emotional intelligence' - which is the stuff you need to learn if you're ever going to be any use at work.

Enjoy. If you can.

agreed. the little GTD type things mean a hellva lot. In the past 2 weeks I've done some quality work - yet the thing people keep mentioning and asking for - how I got to make the printer do 'booklet style' printouts!

the only other thing I would have added to your piece is about comms and being yourself - saying what you think not trying to second guess what your boss or the client wants. finding your own voice is something i've found to be important - and blogging can help you do this.

Couldn´t agree more.
But I would like to ad one thing that my first boss told me in my first week in the agency:
Read! Read everything you can get your hands on. If you have to bind booklets or just photocopy stuff: Read it!
And if it´s interesting you might even ask your boss if you can keep a copy for yourself. It shows people that you are interested in their work and people really like the feeling that someone else cares about the their work.

Also this way you can learn a lot about what is going on in the agency and you might be able to make some smart comments even sooner.

Batman is fantastic in that video!
