Not our usual fare, but again, right on brief. This is a fashionable new place in St James's Park. Fancy architects. Tom Dixon. All that. Pricey. But the location is fantastic and the crockery is lovely.
Brilliant place to watch the world go by. And to count your blessings for being able to afford it all.
i usualy walk on the other side of the lake when i'm walking back from meetings in whitehall to paddington. i did walk past this place whilst it was being built.
i shall have to check it out next time i pass. it looks really good.

I've also walked past, but not gone in. I'll definitely pay it a visit sometime.
Have you been to the new cafe in the middle of Russell Square ? Another one that looks good, and it's handy for the British Museum

I've since visited the Russell Square cafe.
It's not as upmarket as I first thought, but this may be no bad thing, as there is a good choice of reasonably priced cafe meals, cakes and sandwiches.
The large glass windows are a plus, as you can look out over the interesting fountains in Russell Square.

ref. Russell Square cafe. paid £8.45 for a slice of dried-up foccacia, some vegetables swimming in vinegar and oil and a bottle of still water. only finished the food because i paid so much for it! staff were nice though. overall very disappointing.
