This is a great place. Apparently National Milk Bars is a chain of cafes in North Wales and adjoining bits of England. There's a tribute site here. This place has the most relentlessly consistent retro aesthetic I've seen for ages. Lots of wood and green leather-like stuff. And fantastic 70s maps of the area.
And a quality cup of tea.

I've just written an article for "Best of British" magazine (where nostalgia is what it used to be!)on National Milk Bars. I had already mentioned your book and I wonder if you would give me permission to reproduce a couple of your photos of the NMB in Machynlleth to illustrate the article? It's not a big paying gig, but I could guarantee you the mention with full publication details, price etc.
