I always think of this as 'Sky One', I'm a frequent visitor to its cousin down the road - Sky 2 and am always intrigued by the dynamics of the relationship and the possible backstory of expansion and global domination. Will the Sky empire replace Starbucks one day?
A lovely shiny cup of tea. Infact everything in here is shiny. It's very well lit. This isn't a place to nurse a quiet hangover. it's a place to WAKE UP.
Very solid looking condiments. Like the Arsenal backline in the boring, boring days. With the menu playing the part of Dave Seaman.
Blue and yellow are a theme. And then there's the laminated menus. Always a very specific set of offers that CANNOT BE CHANGED. Unless you want something else instead. And then a nautical note is struck with the lifebelt thing. Why? It's cafe art. No explanation is necessary.
I love the plastic seats. They always remind me slightly of some kind of cheap theme park ride - like you might be about to spend 15 minutes spinning around Fry-Up Land. Wouldn't that be special?
And a nice lit up menu. Which looks slightly sinister with my bad photography technique. But is really bright and shiny. WAKE UP!
I cannot wait to go back to London. I wait impatiently for your next post.
