Andrews is a glorious place. I kind of knew the Grays Inn Road would be the kind of place that had a good cafe. It's one of those 50s BBC radio sitcom kind of names like the Balls Pond Road. And this is splendidly that sort of cafe.
A decent, attractive, tasty cup of tea.
Quite pleased with this picture. Not bad for a phone.
There's some focused, dedicated, heads-down eating going on here. And I always like a place with a big overhead menu. It's good to make people look up and down while they're ordering.
Those chairs could tell some stories. About bottoms presumably. But what bottoms.
The whole place has got a marvelous patina to it. The kind of atmosphere TV set designers often struggle to achieve but that Morrissey and Madness manage to squeeze into a microphone.
And that's a magnificent sign. Look at that steaming cup.
Great place. I live round the corner when I'm in England, and while they do great food what I love most is the mixture of people who come here - it's truly London at work. One of the few cafes where I've actually shared a cup of tea with my dad. That in itself makes it noteworthy.

Andrew's is our most regular lunchtime haunt and has attracted praise in doggerel form on my website http://www.nicewaistcoat.com/work-and-colleagues/andrews-cafe/

An excellent place with a wide ranging menu of food that is always generous in portions and not so calorfic in price, under a fiver for a roast with potatoes and 2 veg …enough said! Go there and eat now!

Great call. You get the likes of Jon Snow and the odd ITN news presenter eating in there on a daily basis as their office is around the corner...
