The Pizza Hut ad reminds me of a great place I saw in Damascus ten or twelve years ago. It used almost exactly the same logo, but clearly was in no way related to the internation chain that is part of Pepsico - this place was called "Pizza Hat". Well, the logo kind of looks like a hat, doesn't it?
Interestingly, at that time (and maybe this is still true, maybe not) Syria was one of the few countries in the world where neither Coca-Cola nor Pepsi were available. This had allowed Canada Dry to completely corner the imported fizzy drinks market (and not just selling ginger beer)- even to the point where the word "canadadry" was used by kids as the generic term for pop!
