I love the T'Paul bit in the PG tips ad. It'll be interesting to see how this repositioning of Old Spice works for it - the digital microsite is also interesting.
You're right I do. The PG Tips spot is so well done - I'd noticed earlier today that the monkey was back and wondered how they were going to work it . . .
The PG Tips is money. Something about Old Spice that makes me wary though, in spite of the lovely writing. Not sure it's enough to make young bucks really want to smell of it. But v interested to see how it builds.

I have to own up to doing a lot of Old Spice stuff back in the Seventies at Dorlands. The basic premise of all the TV was "The 3 B's" Boats - Birds - Breasts. Load of old cobblers with one redeeming feature. I used to shoot everything in the South of France and run up huge bar and hotel tabs while staying at the Negresco in Nice... Ah... The good old days. Now it would be all CGI, and you'd never leave Wardor Street.
Cheers/George
I hadn't seen that PG tips spot before.
Both are brilliant.

Good old Mr Vegas.
The Old Spice ad will finally give Lynx/Axe a headache - I sense the rug has just been pulled out from under them

How refreshing to see some decent dialog in tv advertising. Now all we need is to see the rebirth of beatifully executed long copy.

The Old Spice spot is the kind of good that's good beyond having to think about why it's good, if you get me.

Nothing like a bit of good TV.

Did I just say bucks? Sorry.

You should go and do the test to see how this will appeal to young bucks. Very well put together.

If you click the bottle on the bottom right on any of the questions you'll get the reason why. Particularly like the answer to the brothel one.

I've now achieved the level of devotion that only a weekly fanzine and maybe some Old Spice-related web fiction could ever satisfy.
Sigh.

Brilliant. I love how in the PG Tips ad they have continued the story from ITV Digital days.
